February 11: Loving God With Your All
Loving God With Your
All
Dr. Terry-Ann Robinson
Key Text: Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and
with all your mind” - Matthew 22:37
We often say we love God, love people, love
our families — but Scripture reminds us that love is proven not by what we say,
but by what we do. Love is a verb. Love lives in
the small choices, the adjustments we make, the patience we offer, and the
sacrifices we’re willing to embrace.
Imagine a world where every action was rooted
in love. Imagine your
own life if every word, every response, every decision flowed
out of genuine love. What would change?
After 19 years of marriage, my husband and I
have become more like each other — not because we started that way, but because
love shapes you.
My husband is organized, structured, and
particular; I am naturally more relaxed. But love has taught me to honor his
preferences, and love has taught him to adjust to mine. Over time, we’ve
shifted — not out of pressure, but out of care.
That is what love does:
It bends.
It learns.
It adapts.
It acts.
And yet — as great as my love for my husband
is — it should fade in comparison to my love for God. If I am willing to adjust
for the one I married, how much more should I be willing to adjust for the One
who created me, saved me, and calls me His own?
This morning’s devotion is an invitation to
look inward:
How much do you love
God?
Not in theory.
Not in words.
But in action?
How is your love for God demonstrated in your
daily walk, your habits, your obedience, your worship, and your ministry?
Prayer
Lord,
help me to love You with my whole heart, my whole soul, and my whole mind.
Teach me to show my love through my actions — in my obedience, my service, and
my daily walk with You.
Let my life reflect the love You have poured out on me.
Amen.
