March 22- Jehovah Jirah: God will Provide

Scripture: Acts 20:35
"I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive."
On December 23, 2024, in Honduras, my husband and I
decided to share our blessings with those in need, inspired by what God had
provided us throughout the year. We planned and gathered many sacks and boxes
of food to distribute to at least one hundred families. Additionally, we collected
clothes and toys from various friends to give to needy families.
The day came when my sons and I traveled to a village
by the name of Bonito López outside the city to share bags of food. As we
handed them out, people were overwhelmed with gratitude and asked who had sent
them the groceries. One encounter in particular left a profound impact on my heart.
A little girl, about five years old, was found alone. She had stopped to
receive a food bag but was too small to carry it. Minutes passed, and her
worried father arrived, explaining that they had been fishing by the river,
hoping to catch something to eat.
With tears rolling down his face, he said, "You know, we haven't had any food for three days, just water. Today, God heard our prayer through you." His wife soon approached, and together, they praised God for His provision. This moment was a powerful reminder that God uses us as instruments of His love and mercy.
The villagers expressed their gratitude by praying and
thanking God for sending them food.
When we allow God to guide us through prayer, we begin
to see through the lens of Christ and become His hands and feet.
"Do not neglect to do good and to share what you
have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God." – Hebrews 13:16
In a world that often emphasizes self-preservation and
personal success, the timeless wisdom of the Bible highlights the power and
beauty of sharing our blessings with others. The act of giving, extending help,
and showing hospitality are not merely acts of kindness; they are deeply rooted
in spiritual principles that reflect the heart of God's teachings. When we
give, we not only meet physical needs but also tangibly share the love of Christ.
Prayer: Father, we place our resources in Your hands and ask that You will empower and equip us to share Your love as You have blessed us with financial resources. Help us to realize that You have provided for us so we can share with those who are less fortunate. Provide for those who are in need and grant us wisdom to discern the needs around us in Jesus’s name we pray. Amen
Amen
