August 2: Unstoppable with Christ

  Unstoppable with Christ

Scripture: Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

There was a time I attempted to learn how to ride a bicycle. I fell. I was bruised. The bicycle kept rolling, and so did I—straight down a hill, terrified and shaken. In that moment, fear took hold of my heart. It felt like an unstoppable force had taken over, and all I could see was danger ahead. I never attempted to ride again. Instead, I took what felt like the safer option. I stuck with a tricycle, something more stable and less risky. Now, when I look back, I regret never learning to ride. The fear I allowed to take root still lingers, but within me is a deep desire to try again.

This small but significant experience mirrors so many areas of life. How many dreams have we set aside because of fear? How many goals remain unreached because we stepped aside rather than pushing forward? There are moments when fear whispers that it is better to stay where it is safe. Fear convinces us that failure is final and that pain is permanent. But the truth is, fear is a thief. It steals potential. It robs purpose. And it often silences what could have become a beautiful testimony of growth and victory.

There have been many situations in my life where I chose to step aside instead of stepping forward. I have played it safe, hoping to avoid discomfort. I have avoided risks to preserve peace. But peace that is not rooted in faith is only an illusion. When the enemy raises up his forces against the people of God, we too often stop. We stop praying. We stop worshiping. We stop believing. We stop declaring that God is our refuge and strength. We stop trusting in His promises and begin to rely on our own limited vision.

To stop in this way is to relinquish our faith. It is to surrender the bold belief that God is able to sustain and strengthen us. But Philippians 4:13 reminds us that we are not left to our own strength. We are not limited by our past failures or fears. Through Christ, we are empowered. Through Christ, we are made strong. Through Christ, we are made unstoppable.

Jesus Himself becomes our source of power. He does not merely stand by and watch; He is actively involved in our journey. He steadies us when life tries to throw us off balance. He quiets our anxious thoughts when our minds spin endlessly like wheels. He strengthens us to bear the burdens that threaten to break us. When we feel lost and unsure, He remains our guide. He becomes the calm in the middle of our chaos and the anchor in our storm.

When we hold fast to Jesus, we are not easily shaken. We are not easily defeated. We may weep, but our weeping will not last forever. We may fall, but our fall is not the end of our story. God is able to lift us again. He is able to redeem the time we thought was lost. He is able to breathe new life into dreams that have been buried under fear.

We are empowered by Christ. And when we are empowered by Christ, we are truly unstoppable. Our success is not based on our strength, but on His. Our victory does not depend on our perfection, but on His faithfulness. What God has spoken over our lives will not return void. He will perform it in His time.

Take a moment and reflect. What have you stopped pursuing because of fear? What areas of your life have you put on hold because of a past failure? What would it look like to trust Jesus again, to allow Him to journey with you, to believe that through Him you truly can do all things?

You are not disqualified. You are not too late. You are not alone.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for being my strength when I feel weak. Thank You for walking with me through every valley and fear. Help me to rise again where I have fallen. Teach me to trust You in the areas I have been too afraid to try again. Let Your strength be made perfect in my weakness. I declare today that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
