“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops.” — Proverbs 3:9 (NIV)
Reflection:
What does money management look like in your family?
Who usually has better control of things?
Who is more disciplined when it comes to saving, giving, and spending?
Every family has its rhythm when it comes to finances, and often, money becomes a quiet source of tension. But God never intended for money to control us. He intended for us to steward it wisely as a tool for His glory and our growth.
As men, we carry the weight of providing, planning, and protecting. Yet God calls us to manage finances not through pride or pressure, but through principle and partnership with Him. True financial success begins with surrender.
When we manage money God’s way, we acknowledge that everything we have comes from Him and belongs to Him. That means before the bills, before the wants, and before the extras, we give Him our first and best, not what is left over.
Kingdom budgeting starts with worship. It is not just about numbers; it is about values. It is deciding to live with contentment, generosity, and integrity. It is training your mind to see money as a servant, not a master.
When men align their financial decisions with God’s Word, peace replaces pressure. Instead of worrying about tomorrow, they begin to trust God’s provision for today.
Challenge:
Evaluate: Look honestly at how you manage money. Does your spending reflect your faith?
Honor: Make it your goal to honor God first in every area of your finances, from giving to saving to investing.
Lead: Be intentional in leading your family with transparency, teaching biblical stewardship by example.
Prayer:
Father, You are my Provider and my Source. Help me to manage my finances in a way that honors You. Teach me to budget with wisdom, to give with generosity, and to trust You with every need. Let my stewardship reflect Your Kingdom values, and may my financial life bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Key Takeaway:
Managing finances God’s way begins with putting Him first, not last. Kingdom men budget with eternity in mind.
Amen
