November 29: A Heart Still Learning to Heal

A Heart Still Learning to Heal

Key Scripture John 14:1 (NKJV) -“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”
Anonymous Writer

This verse echoes Christ’s compassion: even in moments of separation, He speaks peace to troubled hearts.

Have you ever had your heart broken, and only you can see the pieces?
You cried, but only you felt the tears.
You kept consoling yourself, whispering, “I’ll be OK… things will be fine,”
but deep within, you knew it wasn’t fine at all.

A heart broken by love is never easy to mend.
Especially when that love was built on history—
time spent together, shared laughter, shared hope,
and an undying belief that it would last.

Have you ever made a decision that cost you something precious?
Something that brought joy, warmth, and sunlight into my world.
You told  yourself that letting go would be simple…
but who were you trying to fool?

When you give your heart, it is never easy to walk away.
It is never easy to say goodbye to what once felt like home.

In moments like these, I think of Jesus.
I imagine the ache He felt when He had to leave His disciples—
those He loved deeply, taught faithfully, and shared His heart with.
Yet even in His departure, He comforted them with these words:

“Let not your heart be troubled…”

He understood their grief.
He understood the breaking.
And still, He offered peace.

And here I am, early in the journey,
still learning to breathe again,
to trust again,
to heal again.

But my heart will…
My heart will heal.
My life will rise again.
I will stand.
I will smile.
I will love.
I will live.

In time—
By grace—
Through God—
I will.

Prayer

Lord, You see every broken piece of my heart.
You see the silent tears, the hidden pain, the quiet ache no one else understands.
Give me the strength to release what I cannot hold,
and the courage to walk forward into the healing You promise.
Just as You comforted Your disciples, speak peace to my heart today.
Mend what is shattered. Restore what is lost.
Teach me to trust Your timing, Your love, and Your perfect plans.
I place my heart in Your hands.
Amen.

Healing Declaration

I declare that my heart will heal.
I am not abandoned.
I am not forgotten.
God is restoring me piece by piece.
What I lost will not define me.
What broke me will not bind me.
My future is held securely in God’s hands.
I will rise again.
I will love again.
I will flourish again.
In God’s time, in God’s strength, and by God’s grace—
I will be whole.

  1. Amen! God is Love and God is Good. He will never leave us nor forsake us. His ways are higher than our ways and so are His thoughts. God cannot fail. This is TRUTH!
