January 14: Your Strength Will Rise Again

Your Strength Will Rise Again

Key Text: Isaiah 40:29 (KJV) “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.”

In primary and high school, I was known as Juice! I was a fast and successful athlete, often competing in multiple races such as heats, semifinals, and finals all in one meet. By the time I reached the finish line, my body would be completely spent, my legs trembling, my breath shallow, and my strength almost gone. There were moments when I felt as if I would faint, silently praying for a miracle just to carry me through the last few steps. That place of total exhaustion tired, weak, and empty taught me something powerful about life and love: sometimes the greatest victories are not about speed or strength, but about what carries us when we have nothing left to give.

There are moments in life when we feel completely drained—emotionally, spiritually, and physically. We wish we had superpowers, or that we could wave a magic wand and make all our problems disappear. These thoughts often arise when we are overwhelmed, when the weight of life feels too heavy to carry.

Isaiah 40:29 speaks directly into those moments. God does not wonder if He will give strength. He does not hesitate. The Scripture boldly declares that He gives power to the faint. That means when you are weak, exhausted, discouraged, or ready to give up, God is already moving toward you with renewed strength.

The word faint does not mean failure, it means human limitation. It means you have reached the end of what you can do on your own. And it is there, at that very point, that God steps in.

The Bible reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:9“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Your weakness is not a disadvantage-it is the doorway for God’s power to be revealed.

You may feel today that you have no might, no energy, no hope left. But God promises not only to give strength, He promises to increase it. He will not leave you forsaken. He will not let you collapse under the weight of your struggle. Like a loving Father, He will lift you up when you can no longer stand.

And just when you feel you cannot take another step, Psalm 46:1 declares: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
He is not distant. He is present. He is near. He is holding you even now.

Whatever you are facing; grief, fear, disappointment, sickness, rejection, or weariness, God has not forgotten you. You may feel like you are running on empty, but heaven is not empty. God is supplying fresh strength, new courage, and divine power for this very moment.

You do not have to survive on your own. You are not meant to carry life by yourself. The same God who created the stars is the God who is strengthening your heart today.

Your strength will rise again—not because of who you are, but because of who He is.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
I come to You weary and in need of Your strength. You see every burden I carry, and I thank You that You give power to the faint. Where I am weak, fill me. Where I am tired, renew me. Lift me up and carry me through. Restore my heart, my hope, and my faith.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
