This verse reminds us that our strength does not come from ourselves, but from the Lord. When we rely on His power, we are able to stand firm, overcome challenges, and continue growing in faith, no matter what we face.
A few months ago, a friend gave me two baby rabbits. When I received them, I noticed that one of the rabbits was walking with a limp. As I looked at her, I realized that not many people would want her, so I told the lady, “That’s the one I want.” She was a bit uncertain because of the limp, but I had already purposed in my heart that she was coming home with me. I fell in love with her instantly.
Later, when she had a baby, I noticed that the baby also walked with a limp. I was concerned about how she would reach the feeding container and the water. At first, I placed a small bottle of water beside her so she would not struggle. As she grew, I set up little steps so she could reach the food and water, but I designed them in a way that required her to exercise and strengthen her legs. Over time, she mastered it like a pro.
In the same way, God gives us both strength and grace. He does not always remove the challenge, but He provides what we need to grow through it. He supports us when we are weak, and He gently stretches us so that our faith, endurance, and spiritual strength can develop.
Just as that little rabbit learned to stand and move with confidence, we too learn to stand strong, not in our own ability, but in the power of God’s might. His grace sustains us, and His strength enables us to grow.
When we feel weak, limited, or unsure, this verse reminds us that God has not left us to struggle alone. He is walking with us, strengthening us day by day, until we can stand firmly in the purpose He has for our lives.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for being my strength when I am weak and my grace when I am growing. Help me to stand firm in Your power and trust You through every challenge. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
