February 3: WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW THE SONG BUT GOD PLAYS THE RHYTHM
WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW THE SONG BUT GOD PLAYS THE RHYTHM
Key Text- “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever.” Psalm 138:8 (NKJV)
In November 2025, I had to do a series of tests based on requests from the doctors. One day I went for an appointment and I heard a song in the triage room. It was the first time I was hearing the song and I kept humming the tune for the entire day.
After reaching home I could not remember the words all I could remember was the tune as the phrase “I will wait for You.” I searched YouTube and found the song and man, it was powerful. I played that song repeatedly each day and it gave me a deep assurance that God is with me.
Fast forward to a few weeks after, I was booked for an appointment to do a particular test. Before entering the room I was praying earnestly and singing the same song. I told God that I am not afraid but I do not like needles so just take care of that part.
Long and short, I went in, did the prep and was ready for the procedure but upon further ultrasound they did not see what they saw prior. The doctor told me that this is what all patients would love to hear and dismissed me with instructions to return in three months.
What can I say! God is powerful.
This testimony reveals a profound spiritual truth: sometimes God ministers to us before we understand why we need the ministry. The song entered the room before the results changed. The rhythm of hope was planted before the report shifted. The words “I will wait for You” became a weapon of peace in a moment that could have been filled with fear.
God used:
-
A triage room
-
A song never heard before
-
A phrase remembered without the full lyrics
-
And a waiting season
To carry His child through fear into reassurance.
This is what it means when you don’t know the song but God plays the rhythm. You don’t know the outcome, but you feel His presence. You don’t know the ending, but you sense His control. You don’t know what the test will show, but you know who holds the results.
And when the fear was placed before Him, specifically the fear of the needle, God did not ignore that prayer. The procedure that required it never even happened. That is not luck. That is a loving Father answering a specific request from a trusting heart.
Key Takeaway
God will often give you peace before He gives you proof.
The song came before the miracle.
The waiting came before the release.
The prayer came before the report.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for being with me in rooms where fear tries to speak louder than faith. Thank You for sending reassurance before the answer and peace before the procedure. Teach me to trust You when I do not know the song but can feel Your rhythm guiding my steps. I declare today that You are powerful, faithful, and always at work on my behalf. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Declaration
Even when I don’t know the song,
I will trust the rhythm of God.
Even when I do not know the outcome,
I will trust the God who holds it.
God is powerful.
