May 26: Hold On When Life Feels Shaky

Key Text “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” — Hebrews 10:23 (NIV)

Life can feel overwhelming sometimes! We all face situations that create uncertainty that can make us feel unsteady. But Hebrews 10:23 reminds us that our hope is not built on perfect circumstances, it is built on a faithful God.

As women, we often carry so much internally. We overthink conversations, worry about the future, compare ourselves to others and put pressure on ourselves to have everything figured out. Social media tells us to curate a perfect life while secretly battling fear, insecurity and exhaustion behind the scenes.

But God never asked us to hold our lives together by ourselves.

Biblical hope is not wishful thinking. It is confidence rooted in the character of God. It means even when your emotions are shaky, your foundation does not have to be. God’s faithfulness is not based on your current season. He is always faithful.

If life feels shaky right now, let this be your reminder that your future is not resting in your own ability to control everything. It is resting in the hands of a faithful God. He sees the parts of your story that feel uncertain and He is still working even when you cannot see it yet.

Hold on and trust in God.
