June 8: Grace is Always Enough

by: Dr. Terry-Ann Robinson

Key Text: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

God has a love for numbers.

In Genesis, as He created the world, He counted each day. He counts the hairs on our heads (Luke 12:7). He counts the stars in the sky (Psalm 147:4). Numbers matter to God, showing His attention to detail and intimate knowledge of His creation.

Yet, when it comes to grace, God does things differently.

He does not quantify the grace He gives us. Instead, He simply says: “My grace is sufficient for you.” There’s no measurement, no limit, no short supply. God’s grace is always enough for every need we have, no matter how great or small.

This can be hard for us to grasp. We live in a world where everything is measured, rationed, or earned. Even the grace we give to others has limits. But God’s grace is abundant and immeasurable. He sees our hearts, knows exactly what we need, and provides more than enough: saving grace, sustaining grace, amazing grace.

Have you truly embraced God’s grace?

God’s grace changes everything. As you go through today, pause and reflect on the words of John Newton’s classic hymn:

Amazing grace (how sweet the sound)

that saved a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found,

was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,

and grace my fears relieved;

how precious did that grace appear

the hour I first believed!

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your amazing grace. Help me to trust You in my weaknesses. Remind me daily that Your grace is always enough. Amen.
