 Faith Moves the Mountain

Matthew 17:20 (KJV)

"And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

Sometimes when we think about faith, we think about something big and extraordinary. We imagine dramatic miracles, remarkable breakthroughs, or life-changing events. Yet, often God calls us to exercise faith in the small, everyday moments of life.

The truth is that many of us struggle to demonstrate genuine faith at the beginning of a situation. We analyse, worry, and try to figure everything out on our own. It is often somewhere along the journey, or even at the very end, that we finally begin to trust God with our thoughts, decisions, and circumstances.

I remember a time when I was working on a major project for some important people. Initially, I felt nervous and cautious. The responsibility seemed significant, and I wanted everything to be done well. As doubts began to surface, I found myself questioning whether I was capable of meeting the expectations before me.

Then, in the stillness of my thoughts, God gently reminded me that He is my God and that all wisdom comes from Him. He reminded me that I did not have to rely solely on my own abilities because He had already equipped me for the task.

Amidst the fear, seeds of faith were planted. As I trusted Him, God transformed my anxiety into confidence and my uncertainty into assurance. He gave me clarity of thought, creativity, and the wisdom needed to complete the project successfully. What seemed like a mountain at the beginning became an opportunity to witness God's faithfulness.

Faith does not always begin as a mighty declaration. Sometimes it starts as a mustard seed, a quiet decision to trust God in the middle of uncertainty. As that faith grows, God strengthens us, guides us, and reminds us that He is more than able to handle whatever stands before us.

Whatever mountain you are facing today, remember that God is the source of your wisdom, strength, and ability. Place your trust in Him, and watch Him work through even the smallest seed of faith.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for being the source of all wisdom, strength, and understanding. Help me to trust You not only in the big moments of life but also in the small, everyday challenges. Plant seeds of faith in my heart and teach me to rely on You completely. When fear arises, remind me that You are with me and that nothing is impossible for You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
